Hunters in the bunch

I know we're all outdoor people, who here hunts?
Show your toys and what you've bagged in the past...
I'm new to hunting but have been enjoying my time in the woods, Dee bought me this little guy to start with ...a Marlin XL7.. 30-06, I have also a sweet Browning Grade I .22LR for plinking and the smaller critters, actually had Dee out hitting targets with the 22

I only have a couple acres to work with , but here are a few things I've spotted on my trail cam

unfortunately..they're good about hiding during shooting hours...but the seasons not up yet...

I use a .308 Remingtion 7400 simi auto.
I love it.
I do have a 30.06
and a 30.30 but my 308 is my gun of choice.

No pics, but I have a Ruger 77 .308, a NEF 30-30/.22 hornet, a Taurus .44 mag, 2 Browning upland specials, an H&R .45 muzzle loader, a Winchester .22 autoloader, and a french made 16 ga.

I used to hunt Rabbits & Squirrels.........

Ruger 10-22
and later a Ruger 44 (Sort of ruined the squirrels though...)

but then one day while I was at work, my wifey had a garage sale,
and when I got home, there where a number of things I could no longer find  .... : :



Now I just go dear hunting, instead of deer hunting....

although sometimes I still deer hunt with a camera.

Ive got the gun (Savage 200XP .308Win) and have collected the gear, but I have yet to sit in a stand.  I would love to go and camp out in a stand for a few hours. 

No good pictures of the rifle, standard bolt action with 3-9x42 scope mounted on top.  Camo pattern (which Im not real fond of, I want to paint it but that will come with time).

here is a little 9 pointer i killed this year on Indiana's opening day of slug gun season
we only get to use shotguns here , no rifles.......but i can go back to W.Va. if i want to use
a High powered rifle   oh yeah and i don't own any guns either

For whitetails i am a bow hunter by choice, when rifle season rolls around i carry out my Taurus 44 mag.

I am a big time small game hunter though. Doves in the early season. Then we hit the thunder chickens, ringnecks and woodcock pretty hard. This year i also got into varmint hunting, bought a foxpro and am gonna try to bag me a fox or two maybe a yote here this weekend.

I'm still working on my sami but my dually gets me where I can get close then walk from there.  My Browning A-Bolt Medallion (.300 win mag) means I donot have to walk far.  If I can see them the weapon can drop'em, me I cannot make it shoot that far that accurately ( atleast I am honest)

I have dropped many coyotes and ground squirls in Texas and Oklahoma with it but nothing else since then I have moved to Ca.  recently found a place to take pig and Blacktail deer.  I sure do mis Mule Deer and Whitetail.

My main gun is my .50 cal. cap and ball, just love hunting with it. But if things dont go well I break out my 30.06 springfield 1903 or the sks. Love bow hunting. Like the .22 for squirrel and rabbit and used to hunt pheasant and duck with my Stoeger 12 gauge side by side but lost my Lab and dont go no more.
