Hope this is the right sub-forum. Looking for photos of samurai loaded up for an expedition or camping trip. Trying to get ideas on how to pack/store things.

Here's a couple of pictures of when we went to the Outer Banks. I had removed the backseat. Dave

Just noticed the insulation under the conv top. This is what I used on my TT under the hardboard when I replaced (what was left of) the headliner. I also used it in the floor under the carpets, inside the doors and side panels. keeps it much cooler/warmer and it is so quiet I really enjoy the stereo now.

Augeter, how did that insulation work for you under the carpet? Is that the stuff that HD sells like a foil covered bubble wrap?
I'm looking for something to put under the carpet in my 65 Riviera, and I don't want to pay what I see online for underlayment.

  Thanks,
    Buddy

You travel light!  Guess you can do that when ya don't have to pack the kitchen sink, if ya know what I mean.  [lol]

That's a long trip!  what are you up to?  do you have a thread about your trip?

Old reply but... my build thread is the closest thing to a thread about the trip. I was just exploring more of the US, knocking off states I hadn't been to (now I only have two left), visiting friends all over the country, visiting national parks, national forests, monuments, ghost towns, cities, etc. I just got back a few days ago!

All told, did 15,212 miles in the Samurai- that's driveway to driveway miles.
Twenty-eight states and two Canadian provinces.
*Nearly all four corners of the US
(*didn't go to Cali, been there a bunch already).

Went off road in Florida, Texas, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, and Oregon.  [thumbsup]
