Found a couple LJ jimny's today!!!!

I seen them on the visitor rigs section but I don't know if that person signed up for the forum. Looks like minor stuff, wheels, shifter knobs, bumpers, seats, oil reservoir.

So are you gonna rescue these poor, neglected little Zuks and liberate them?!?! Love to see another RHD back on the road. Mine is getting close  ;D

OK here is the sammy porn.  ;D

Well as you can see shes a beut and I have got alot of rust repairing to do. I did find out its a lj20 and if you noticed the 2 cyl water cooled motor was in the bed area. All the running gear and frame is in good condition just the motor died and the people who had it tore it apart to fix then decided they couldnt find the parts to repair it and ended up losing the head and exhaust. The rest of the motor is intact from the pistons down.

Yes it was an abused mud truck for many years.   :\\\'( But anyways i cant wait to fix it all up and make it whole again. I would love to fix the original motor back to running condition.

Good luck with your project! You should start a build thread of your own. What are your plans for it?

I see, good luck on finding parts. Try lj10.com for those, there is some classifieds. I myself hate those tires, they are too wide. I prefer the skinny look myself.

Those tire came on it when i got it, i wont use them if i can get the body to turn out good. I will find some vintage tire maybe some small military's. If i cant fix the body i may just make it a mud toy for my son to drive. In the south big wide deep lugged tire are kewl lol.   :P

Man that thing brings back memories. My dad had one when I was young. He used it for hunting and riding in the woods. It had military tires on it color was yellow and I coulda swore it had a 3 cyl motor but it was 2 stroke.

My first thoughts would be an lj50, it was 3 cyl two stroke, however, the lj50, to my knowledge was never imported into the U.S., unless it was a privately done, personal vehicle, i.e. not from a dealer.

I remember he did buy it new and it was his personal vehicle. I wish I could track down who owns it now and buy it back for him.

If anybody is interested in these, and wants to travel to Lincoln, NE, I can take you to them. He told me he paid 2,000 for the red one, and 800 for the yellow one. I was planning on offering 2000 for both, but I decided to spend the money on my second soft top diesel swap instead.

I got to meet a guy today who has two factory showroom condition lj20s one was a tintop and one was a softtop both have the factory spec sheets in the windows. The guy is locale and used to sell them in the 70s for a chevy dealer ship. These lj20s are pure awesome. this guys has never owned a computer or been online in his life lol. Im sworn to secrecy but he did let me take some pics of them.
