Went to look at a car with my brother, when I spotted an lj next door. I knocked but no answer, so I will go back. It is a right hand drive jimny. I asked the guy we went to look at his car if he had his neighbors contact info. He did not, but he did however point out that there is another one in the backyard under a tarp!!!!!! Will go back for pix ASAP, and attempt to purchase.

Well I talked to my suzuki nut buddy. According to him, they never had the rhd jimny in the U.S., but rather was likely imported by a G.I. It can be seen here on google maps:

Well this is interesting. I haven't gone back yet to try and talk to the owner, but I did run into him on lj10.com! Scroll about 3/4 of the page down on this link, you can see the yellow one, and the red rhd drive on he has, apparently one of them was from KC anyways!

Nice! I remember that excitement after leaving my number asking if it was for sale and then hearing back that it was. Wound up with one of my LJ 81's that way.

Awesome! Unfortunately though, I have a feeling he is going to want a ton of money for them, considering the red one is imported, but who knows, if his wife has been hounding him long enough to get them out of there, I may be able to score them for cheap after all!

Red one from eBay, claims that it ran and drove two years ago, yellow one, supposedly got from a friend or relative, he has never had it running.

Sure is, all the body lines appear to be there so it shouldnt full of bondo. Some of the wrong/missing parts could be taken from the yellow one and make a good one. Do either run? And that Jimny emblem is quite rare, the earlier LJ's imported into the States had them, with the Suzuki one on the yellow one were the later, more common one.

The red one supposedly was running a couple years ago, nothing is really missing from the red one, it's just sat for a long time. He had close to $3000 US invested in both of them, so I'm trying to figure out what to offer him.

The price of these things has went up considerably in the last few years. Even 3K for the two is not completely out of line, as long as one of the motors is working. There's a few "wrong" parts I can see on the red one but no biggie. If you haven't joined already, LJ10.com will be THE source for info.
