Installing rebuilt transfer case

Morning everyone,

I am replacing my worn out transfer case with 4.16 gears. Got the complete 4.90 rebuild from RRO. My question is this...

I am fairly confident I can drop the old one out and bolt the new one up, but wanted your opinions. For idea of my mechanical level, I have replaced wheel bearings on trucks and installed hubs (but its been years).

I just want to save money if possible. Already having a shop replace all the u-joints (I couldn't get the clips off for the life of me., and probably replacing R&P in potentially both axels but def the front.

Tips and pointers would be appreciated.

I would also get some sort of "BEEFED UP" transfer case mount as with the new gearing is going start bending things.
They're are a lot of options out there - I'm sure others pipe in on this.

You will definitely need to beef up the factory transfer case mounts. Trail tough and I think Low Range Off Road offers parts to do this. They will need to be welded in. I used the kit from Trail Tough.

or one of these -  http://www.zuksoffroad.com/ZOR-1714-bolt-SUPER-CRADLE-t-case-mounting-system-_p_182.html
He also has cheaper & more expensive options.
He is very helpful - you can give My a call @ (928) 567-3061
All of his products are top-notch,  Hope that helps.

I think a local buddy of mine ( [member=23336]Bigfootford[/member]? ) has a t-case cradle he wants to sell
