Aftermarket Temp gauge 1.6l 16v

Searched and searched....can't find anything on point.

Is there a "best place" to drill and tap a hole for an aftermarket temp gauge sensor? I was considering re-tapping the A/C cutoff switch hole. Is that the best option? My sensor is the same size as stock just different threads.

Tapped the A/C coolant temp shutoff to 1/8ntp. If I end up putting A/C on my rig I'll just not run that switch. Shouldn't be an issue as it's just an on/off switch if coolant is too hot.
