26 spline chromo shafts in front

Im gathering the parts for my sammi build, and have a question about the front axle. I want to put an airlocker in front, with the 26spline shafts. From what I understand, I need the 26spline ARB that would normally go in the rear, and new shafts. Im rebuilding the front axle and adding a truss and gussetts.

Is that all I need? No side gears? Do the 26 spline front shafts still use the same seals, meaning I just need a regular seal kit?

These are probably what ill get; https://lowrangeoffroad.com/suzuki-samurai-4340-chromoly-front-axle-set-low-range-off-road.html

Thanks all.

Correct, you will only need the 26 spline locker. Dimensionally, the front and rear thirds are identical, only the side gears are different in their spline count. The ARB is a carrier in and of itself that replaces the side gears.

If you can afford it, I highly recommend the RCV samurai axles. They are definitely more pricey, but are better built, and the warranty is significantly better than the LowRange units. Also, is your axle in need of a rebuild? If not, you don't even need to worry about replacing all the bearings, but, still not a bad idea to have a set on hand. Seals will all be the same regardless of what splined axles you have.

Thanks, my axles are not leaking or anything, but I am installing a YJ spring kit, and gussets and trusses to the front and rear. I figured if Im doing all this, I might as well replace everything.

Got to trail tough... they will fix you up. doing the same thing but on a second axle so I can still drive until I swap it. go ahead and replace the felts and seal while you are there. It's easier to slide them on before putting in the races for the king pins. also, do them in stages. RTV the back ring and seal first and add the outer ring and let set. then add the felts. so much easier. also adding the RCV shafts
