Hey everybody I just had a new repair experience with my father?s 94 Geo Tracker. It has been parked for a bit with intermittent no fire conditions and general no start. Some time it happened after running a while or when it was hot. Most indicators pointed to a bad ECU. A few weeks ago I pulled it and just planned to buy a remanufactured one. How ever after some research thought I may try my hand at fixing it. The throttle body ECU only has 3 canister style capacitors that are often the cause of failure. At least one of the capacitors on the board was leaking so I desolder them ordered three packs of the capacitors shown. Cleaned the board well with isopropyl alcohol and soldered in the new ones. The tracker fired right up and is running great! The capacitors coast about 18 bucks ordering 10 fold what I needed. So the first 9 people who need 3 of these capacitors to repair their ECU let me know and I can mail you a set.
