Toy IFS Steering Box

Did the Toy IFS boxes come in different ratios, perhaps an increase in hydraulic pressure / or whatever you call it?

The reason I ask is........my bud had a leaking IFS box on his toy truck. Other than the leak. no complaints. So, he got another IFS box from the wreckers and installed it. Now, he says the steering effort is way too easy. He can turn lock to lock with his pinky finger. The old box was not like that, and does not like the way this newer one steers so easy.....zero road feel.

I have read that there is, but there isn?t a huge difference between them.

I've got the same issue. No road feel whatsoever. More than likely the piston was leaking internally as well allowing some fluid to bypass.
