strong winch bar mounts

this is how i mounted mine.

bashed a bit of pipe into the front chassis rail

made a bracket to weld to the chassis

then made a bracket to bolt to the chassis bracket

the above is a very strong way of mounting a bar and i haven't had any problems yet and
i do run into stuff reasonably often.

Nice. I did something similar to that to mount my rear bumper.  Ya shouldn't have any problems there!

Looks great man. I have done this on several of my rigs and so have my friends.   beekiller actually made some plates similar to the ones you did to reinforce his rear bumper and it worked out great. This is such an improvement on a weak front and rear end mounting points that I don't understand why more people don't do it.

mate from memory the OD was 42mm, i don't know what that is in old fashioned measurements.

hey where did you get that bumper?  Mine looks nearly identical!  I mounted a tiny winch behind the bumper on top of the cross member.  I still need to reinforce with solid steel though.
