I have a radio shack CB (similar to uniden 510, same factory) I wanted to find a place to fit it that it would not get stolen. The glove box is a perfect fit. The hardest part of the install is you have to detach the hood latch cable from the latch to get the upper part of the glove box out far enough to work on it. The nice thing is the space to the side and rear is pretty much open so you have lots of room to work with. I drilled a hole in the back to fit the antenna cable through and the power. One small hole for the side thumb bolt and one zip tie. Fits like a dream and the glove box acts a bit like an amplifier so sound is not a problem. Though I think there is just enough room to install a stereo below the cb so i will have to add an external speaker when I do that. The glove box door closes with the mic attached but bends the door a little bit and closes like stock when it is detached.
