Sidekick radiator install v2.0

ok...here is version 2.0 of how to install a sidekick/tracker raidator into a zuk

Basically I started by removing the stock radiator and fan and shroud. I then took the tracker radiator (96 tracker) and set in where the original one was.

i took an old radiator I had and cut off the "wings" right along the dirt line...about 1/4" toward the core from the inside of the mounting slots.

i spot welded these wings to the channels on the side of the tracker radiator. I then bolted it in using the stock drivers side samurai radiator mount.  you can see in the one pic where i cut the pass side mount and added pieces of steel to connect the two.  the bracket ended up kinda ugly but its solid and functional.

I then took an electric fan from a hyundai elantra and cut off all but the one upper mount and drilled 3 3/16" holes in it and bolted it to the radiator using #10-24 x 2-1/2" machine screws  and 3/16" x 1-1/4" fender washers and lock nuts.

for now i wired the fan direct to a toggle switch but eventually I will be running it to a thermostat switch and putting in a 3 position  toggle..

Well I can tell you if you use a 1989 Trackick rad and if you had power steering it's a lot more work.
Is it worth it? I'll let you know in about a month.
