mounting fog lights

I just wanted to give a cheap fog light bracket tip. all you have to do is weld a small washer to the bumper and insert the fog light bolt in the hole...
 
Could you explain a little bit further for the group please?

ie:  how / where do you weld the washer to the bumper

pics would help out also.

The idea I get from the post is that he is cutting a hole in the bumper.  Welding a washer ontop of the hole (if you look down the hole, you can still see the ground) to give it a little more strength.  The inside washer diameter should be the same as the light bolt.  Then, put the light into the hole, reach up under the bumper and bolt it down tight.  Reading this gave me an idea.  You could also find a nut that was the same threading as the bolt on your light, drill a hole, weld the bolt over the hole, and twist the light on.  In essence, you would be screwing the light directly into the bumper.

A not so cheap (maybe 30 bucks) plan would be to get light mounts...
 
back when my sami had stock bumpers i drilled a hole in them and just bolted on lights .. I think you are over thinking this
