I've had mine on for a while and had a few questions about them when I first got them. When mounting there is a gap between where the screw goes through the flare and the body panel. On some of them it is as much as 1/2". It didn't look too secure. After ripping one off on some manzanita I figured out how to fix the problem fairly cheaply. (the screws pulled through the bumper but stayed in the body panel)
Went to the hardware store and bought some black flat rubber sink faucet washers and some small fender washers. Placing one fender washer on each side of the fender I then added as many of the faucet washers as needed to fill in the gap. Problem solved and the mounting seems a lot more solid also.
