Ignition lose

Could be a failing igniter.

I have replaced the distributor. Is this component built into the distributor?

Could it be the computer control relay? Does anybody know where this relay is located?

Yes. Is it an 8 valve or 16 valve engine?

Have you checked the fuel filter?

Your idle is surging? Or when driving it cuts out? That's a very common thing to happen at idle with a vacuum leak or badly adjusted TPS. The ECU shuts off the fuel over 1500rpm if the TPS idle switch is closed. It's doing what it's supposed to.
