How To: Make your own "High Lift Handle Keeper"

Soooo...........you want to keep that handle in place so it won't rattle and slap everything on your rig?

Here is a CHEAP & Simple solution:

Step #1

Go and buy yourself a small "POLY" cutting board

Step #2

take the poly cutting board and put it flush on the TOP end of the high lift tower. Trace around  the very top  of the tower.

Step #3

then take the Jack Handle and move it about 1/2 inch above the trace you made of the tower.

Step #4

Use some kind of cutting device. I used a Dremel Tool with a cutting bit. Cut on the inside of the trace marks...........this will give you the snug fit .......... you can always trim to fit if needed.

And you end up with something like this:

Easy as pie man !!

I was cutting a piece to put on top of the bumper to keep the tire carrier from ratteling........looked at the high lift and there ya go

Norzuki,
I like it. I am on the way to the dollar store now. Just a thought, you could even use a hole saw for the handle and make it even quicker.

I live about 5 minutes from where they make those...

I like making shit too but...Time has become more valuable than money these days....so I bought one. The energy suspension one works great!

But nice job fabbing that youself!

David, that is just too simple and I like it. [thumbsup]  I'll have to make myself one of those when I am tinkering in the shop. Bad thing is, I never take my jack with me wheeling as I think they are just plain scary to use. :o :D

How much are these cutting boards?  You say dollar store, but is that the $1 store?  I don't need a hi-lift handle isolator, as I have a Daystar already, but that cutting board idea looks like it would work great for lining my jetski trailer frame to protect my hull from further damage from the trailer when loading.
