How to cover the hole where you cut your stock bumper ears off.

I am a plumber so these are easy for me to get ;D But I think you can get them at Home Depot and Lowes also.
They are called "Sink hole covers"
They are nothing more than the cover plates that are used to cover the extra hole in your kitchen sink (the hole where a hand sprayer would come out)
All you have to do is tack weld the retainer wing nut inside the stock bumper mount tube.

Then just screw them in  ;D

Screw them in tight and call it good.
They are a little flashy but they do work great to keep mud and such out.

I like that, but did you do the stiffening mod beforehand? You know, where you put some pipe inside that tube?
Yes sir, I did that when I mounted my bumper ;D
I also mounted my bumper to it for extra support for the winch  ;)

If you do this on the rear, you can plate the end of the pipe and attach that with bolts to your rear bumper on the sides. Strengthens the rear bumper for towing and pulling people out. ;)

Good info!  ;)

I just zapped on a couple of frost plugs with the MIG welder .
Worked for me .
I like that stiffening trick though .
