homemade swing down tire carrier

a few people have been asking me about my tire carrier, so here are a few pics of it.it is made of 1 inch tubing, fits any two inch receiver, and will hold a 35 inch tire.  ive been using this for a year now, and it is bombproof.  ive backed into trees, pushed trucks, etc, it just takes the beating.

Thats sharp. I need to come up with something similar to that for my tintop. My little 30" MT tire is putting some serious wear on the door hinges, not to mention I backed into a tree and pushed the door in a little. Luckily the glass didn't break. A setup like that attatched to the bumper would solve the problem. Looks cool too.

it used to rattle a bit in the receiver, but since i never take it off, i spot welded the hitch on the sides of the receiver.

Can you get any close pics  of the hinge?  What are you using  as a hinge?

My hitch ratted and I put plastic door shims in the receiver

that is definately a sweet ass setup man.
i gotta try something like that.... just have to move the lights from the rear door to the bumper...
