For those not doing it.  It's a rally with the general rule of thumb is you try and take a $500 car off road for 500 miles.

No real rules including the price of the car.

Just a start and a get together at the end out of s scene from Mad Max.



Gonna take the sammi along as a support rig.
 
I thought the car had to be 2wd to qualify for any trophies? Perhaps it depends on the race? Not that it CAN'T be 4x4, but I thought it was 2wd to win trophies, to keep things interesting.

Did it last year in a suzuki ario that's awd.

We just did it for bragging rights.

Stuffed a set of home made 4" lift blocks, the biggest tires we could and a skid plate made out of an old turkey feeder under it.

Spray painted a jackelope on hood and prayed that the wheel bearing?? making steady hammering noise related to speed would survive.

Started out where its a nice luscious green a hour from the coast.

Two days and a lot of wrong turns over the Cascade mountains we made it to a dusty cinder mine in a high mountain desert.
