Aluminum roof and heavy rear curtain

Felt like I needed to protect the cloth seats in the '87 so I made up this short cab using some aluminum sheet I had lying around and ordered a yard of .080" thick clear vinyl for the rear curtain. Welded in a light rectangular brace between the round windshield braces and attached the sheet with sheet metal screws, then used heavy duty snaps for the vinyl. It reaches about 3" from the floor. I thought it came out pretty good.

Nope, but neither is the rest of it either. Probably tight enough to keep from getting drenched while driving it though, there is a seal at the front which should help a lot and the side rails at the doors are still there. The gap down the sides of the roll bar would let a little weather in but the overlap at the top will work pretty good I expect. Shouldn't take much to make it weather tight. The rear curtain is completely removable with snaps.
