Been looking at carb options for my nearly ready to install 1.6 8v.  I thought about going the Harley route, then heard abotu these from Samuraiguy. These look REALLY interesting, but I can't seem to find much input on them from people that have actually installed them.  Any input is appreciated!

I used this type of set up on a swapped Honda and it works great. Make sure to use a good cover on them they tend to suck a lot of air and if its not a good cover it will deteriorate them in short time.

Yea, I wondered about that and was curious if maybe a stock GSXR airbox would fit in a Sami, or if the spacing between the carbs is the same.

There are several manufactures that make mini cone filters to fit them

not much detail to the install but some pics of it installed and there were a couple of videos of the engine running. Might be a good person to ask for info

Just won a set of carbs off of ebay and will be picking up Samuraiguy's setup pretty soon. I have a 1.3 I'm rebuilding that they will be going on. The best thing about his kit is that if you ever upgrade to a 1.6 8v or a 1.6 16v, the carbs will still work.

Not sure, but I think if you use the stock airbox from a gsxr, you can easily fab up a snorkel.

take it one more step, if you ever get a 16v motor the carbs from this setup will work, you only need the different runners that fit the 16v intake pattern!   Jermemy has it all cover.
it really easy!   on the 16v no more harness!

Kimberacp, are you running the GSXR carbs, or the Harley?  If its the Harley, are you running a 40mm?  What is weird to me is, the one Harley CV carb is 40 or 44mm through Petroworks, yet 4 GSXR carbs are 38mm x 4!   It would seem like either one would be too much fuel, or the other not enough.  ???

i run the single 40mm setup and love it, the best part is no ecm crap
i was considering swapping in a 20r but a 16v is getting more appealing every day
what is stock hp and tq for the 16v?
