Thanks,
It looks good from 30ft. haha
Overall it's in really good shape, just need go through everything and check all moving parts. A month from now I should have a reliable ride.

Ride looks good, so does the backdrop.  Enjoy them both!  [thumbsup]

Sweet!

I've grown a little partial to soft tops, the classic sami profile

Nice!

Round vent or square vent. '88's could go either way, early 88 had round mid and late 88 have square.
Great looking sammi.

Ok, i need clarification...

Is '88.5 the transition of carb -> efi?

Does the title of an 88.5 have the half year?

Were all 88.5 1.3 EFI? (or were some 88.5 carb'ed?

Sorry to thread derail!  [thumbsup] :welder:

EFI came about in 1990, along with 2 pin carriers.  88.5 brought about the sqaure vent dash, and seems as though there are rumors of softer springs.  Not sure you could tell the difference.  :D  This is all from memory, and not a very good one.   ;D

I figured I could go read he wiki, but hey!

Only difference is the dash?

Were there any ecm "upgrades"? (Similar to nowadays "pcm flash")

I have looked at few frames locally, and if im not mistaken, the rear brake line hanger is different for whatever reason  [worried] ??? on  88 and later

Hmm softer springs?

When was the TT no longer made? (Available to the US)

Not sure that was the ONLY difference.  Memory...right?  ;D   Again referring to *memory*....TT was 87 and 88 methinks.

According to what I have read the TinTop was not offered after '89 . Because of slow sales.

IIRC the 88.5 had a slightly different heater panel, the tranny had a different 5th gear (slightly lower), and the overall center section of the dash was different. The radio location was slightly lower and was built into the center panel, not an add on box like the earlier Zuks. The glove box door is different also.

P.S. I think the square vents were also good for an additional 40HP!! [lol] ;D
