4WD Guided Trail Ride Scacenger Hunt

Fall Scavenger Hunt/Adventure Guided Trail Ride, Saturday, Nov. 21st, 2015. Pre-registration & Payment is required to reserve your spot. Jump in your 4WD, bring your family or a friend and join us for a ride on the Grand Overland District, (a 200 acre private farm in Eldorado). Approx. 2 hr. ride, mixed with fun as you try to find hidden Uwharrie Icons and fall “finds” along the trail. A knowledgeable/trained guide and narrator will keep you informed along the way. A working CB is a necessity to hear the narration. You’ll receive your riddles/clues before your trail ride begins, and you may photograph sights along the way as you navigate the terrain. There will be a brief stop on the beautiful Uwharrie River. Reminisce as you skip rocks, or hear stories of ‘Gold Finds’ and ‘The Uwharrie Marble Makers’.Each ride is limited to 10 registered vehicles, $30 per vehicle. Stock vehicles with novice or amateur drivers should do fine on the 9:00, 11:00, and 1:00 trail rides.

The 3:00 trail ride is an Intermediate level adventure on trails that will require drivers choose appropriate lines of travel through a couple rock gardens, numerous suspension flexing holes/ditches, and some off-camber areas. Vehicle requirements: Minimum 33" tires, 2+ inch lift, and a working winch.

To Register: send an email to, with Scavenger Hunt Registration in the Subject line. In the body: Enter the driver’s name, type/color of vehicle, time of desired ride, payment method, & town you are from.

You must pre-pay via PayPal in the ‘TO A FRIEND SECTION' to with $30.00 or mail a check to Julie Parrish, 1391 McDaniel Drive, Asheboro, NC 27205. When we receive payment via PayPal notice, we’ll send you a confirmation email for your ride, and you’ll be set!
