BRING THIS BACK ALIVE.

the axle you built was with 2wd samurai spindles?

Thanks for your time

No it wasnt. It was a piece of 2"od x .120 wall tubing with some plates I had made that allowed me to bolt om samurai spindles and hubs...

Using a 2wd axle would not have worked well...you would have to lock the steering some how and hope it was straight

Understandably,   so the spindle you used didn't come from a 2wd samurai?

Looking to build my own camp trailer just wondering where to go build my axle or order one.

No...there were no 2wd samurai axles harmed in this build....

They were 4x4 hubs and spindles. You can use a lockout for the cap...I used xl7 drive flanges....

Wait...I had to think about this for a minute..2wd and 4wd hubs are the same thing on a samurai....they just have a cover instead of a lockout....

Did you even read the writeup? There are pics showing how it was fabricated....pics of all the parts....etc....

Yes I read it a few times and wasnt aware that the 2wd/4wd spindles are the same minus cap vs lockout thanks for taking the time to answer my questions sorry to brother you.

This project was backburnerd yet again....since starting it I moved from Pa to In... a friend of mine dragged it out here and during the trip it almost lost a wheel due to a cold weld. Made it about half way when they had to use some ratchet straps to keep together....eventually I had to go and meet them and load it on a trailer to get it here....it also broke a shock mount on the trip.

Ive been workin on my diesel trucks and recently started on the zuk again....ill get back to it just not sure when.

I apologize....you did ask specifically about the spindles not the axle itself and I misread....been a long weekend already lol
