The NC 4x4 guys did the hard part , the links are all organized and ready to go . Take a minute to go send out a few emails so we can have more places to go wheeling in NC .

Tonight I plan to type out a response to each Senator on the list. It will not be a bang list canned email, but a separate email for each and every one. That way, I can expect a non-canned answer, and if I get one I can email back and ask for more info on where that Senator stands.
I challenge every NC and surrounding area member on this board to do the same. If outside NC, include that you come to the state to attend offroad functions or that you plan to do so. Maybe include the average amount of money your family spends when you make these trips.
This is our state, and they are our employees and if we don't take the time to let them know how we feel and what we want then we have no one to blame but ourselves when we don't get it. NOW is our chance to get more areas to ride in.
Your email should contain the following wording according to Carla Boucher, legal counsel for United Four Wheel Drive Assn and Southern Four Wheel Drive Assn, "Off-highway vehicle" or "OHV" means any off-road motorcycles, three or four-wheel all-terrain vehicles, four wheel drive motor vehicles intended by the user or owner to be used in recreational pursuits, or dune buggies. Doing my emails now:

My name is David Stiff and I am very much an avid 4x4 & Off Road enthusiast to say the least. I look forward to about 1.5 weeks of vacation time and most weekends enjoying the outdoors & trails in N.C. So In regards to “GS 20-63.4. North Carolina Off-Road Vehicle Recreation Program” that is before you in the Senate. I would like for you to pass this bill with a modification to what constitutes an "off-highway vehicle. I also understand that a “Off-highway Vehicle" or "OHV" means any off-road motorcycles, three or four-wheel all-terrain vehicles, four wheel drive motor vehicles intended by the user or owner to be used in recreational pursuits, or dune buggies. I want to thank you in advance for your attention to this matter because it means a great deal to myself and a whole lot more people in this state and also others I know that bring revenue into N.C. that live outside of N.C.
Thank you for your time on this matter and I look forward to your response because I believe the OHV parks should remain so that the great citizens of N.C. and surrounding states can enjoy the outdoors doing what they love.

one of the responses I got from Sen. Berger:

Thank you for writing about Senate Bill 45.  I believe the proposal has great merit, and I plan to support the bill when it comes up for a vote.
