If buying at a parts store, it is called the ignition module. FSM refers to it as the ignitor.

Depends it can be bought through autozone or any of the parts stores, these are fairly dependable though so you can easily get one from the junkyard that will be good. They are very costly from a parts store or the dealer.

Fuel injected engine or carb'ed engine?

If it is a carb truck, then you may want to give this a try. I have never done it to a FI truck so i don't know if it will work, but it is super simple and cheap.

Depending on what year you have, best bet would be to get another lock cylinder from a junkyard and replace the whole thing. The peice that you are looking for is supposed to be a part of the key cylinder IIRC. From what I am seeing in that schematic drawing, that's for an '86 up EFI truck/runner and goes in the dash. Is this correct? If so, I have a friend that has an entire assembly from a '90 Runner that I am almost certain that he will be inclined to sell. :)

That whole thing is the Ignition Switch Assembly.   You cant buy seperate pieces for it.    The dealership sells it as a whole unit.

'86 - 92
37100-80100

'93 - 95
37100-83980

Ebay, junkyard, or dealership.

I do know what you're talking about.  I've taking mine apart a few times.

I think Zukimon is right ,That should be a part of the Lock cylinder. If it isn't A trip to the junkyard would be in order.

What you want is the entire ignition lock cylinder. If you're going to a junkyard, then you may as well get the entire thing with the electical switch on the back of it too.
