Im a college kid now with a spoa, 1.6L 8v samurai on 31 boggers and this is exactly what i want to do with a 2dr vitara in the future

something looking like this with a build up like yours

is the 3-link front design better than the 4-link design for double duty on road and offroad use?

TIA
KiD

Very nice!  SUPER clean build.

My dream is to do this with an XL-7...

Be careful with the new ram.  They bust steering knuckle studs quick.

I think the TC pump + Cooler + Extra reservoir would be plenty.  The stock kick system does not dissipate heat well and with little fluid volume it makes for a quick stock pump death.

Torque and check the Steering studs often / swapping to the Heavy Duty ARP's might be a benefit.

More steering thoughts:
I think a keyed arm would be a bonus otherwise the flex and twist will loosen / stretch / shear most studs.

add a fifth steering stud, and tack the studs in from inside the knuckle to prevent them loosening, or remove, clean and reinstall with green locktite making sure the studs are tightened down, if you're worried about breaking studs

i ran 37" sticky krawlers last comp season with stock studs and a 5th stud, with the studs tacked in place, and hydro assist with no loosening/broken stud problems....this year i set the new rig up with arp's, green loctite and a 5th stud, with full hydro and maxxis trep stickies....no issues yet ;)

Already have ARP's

I have no worries running 33" tires. Chris (brother) runs 37" on his Toy with ARP's and hydro assist for 2 years with no issue.

This is what a 5th stud looks like:

If I did anything more I would put on the 6 shooters that are on sale for $249 for the knuckles and arms right now:

Ok, finally have time for a few updates.
I took the stock power-steering Bracket and chopped it a bit, cut off the bottom front tab that mounts to the front of the stock pump.

Then I cut the 1.6L TC Pump bracket we sell in half.

Then welded them them together after several hours of fitment and making sure it was all right. The belt had to be aligned right, the fittings on the pump could not interfere with anything else and the A/C brackets and compressor had to fit right. I had to clearance the A/C bracket a little to make it work but I got it all in. The belt may be a 1/32" off but it works close enough.

Here is the mounting point before the bracket

With bracket

With Pump

With A/C bracket, you can see the front corner is trimmed

With A/C compressor

I mounted the reservoir using a stock Air filter box mount, it jams itself into the padding on the grill and is very solid

Rebuilt, drilled and tapped the box for the hydro assist. The other hydro fitting is on the top front corner of the box

I mounted the heatsink between the bumper and A/C fan on a cross-member. I just used self tapping hex head bolts to mount it in. Worked great.

I also had a custom panhard made to get rid of the Tie Rod Ends that are used in the Trail Slayer kits and used Heim Joints. I had to drill the FJ80 tapered holed out to 5/8" and machine down the misalignment spacers to get it were I wanted it.

Here is a picture of the ram mounted in the axle side only. Here it is mounted between the 2 tabs provided on the upper link bracket but I ended up mounting it above the top tab to get the ram level once mounted onto the tie rod bracket.
