i have the traxxas rustler, i reccomend just driving it til you break stuff and then upgrade as you break. from experience you can upgrade the wrong parts and keep breaking stuff. also just ask the guys at your hobby shop, most are freindly and just want to talk about rc cars, kinda like we wanna talk about sammis

get your instruction manual and go thru the procedure to reprogram your speed controller its pretty easy and make sure you have a fully charged battery, if you dont have the manual PM me and i can get it for you

and make you have good batteries in the controller too, the red light will flash on the side if the batteries are dead

Don't do aluminum arms!  :o  The only arms to put on a maxx are RPM arms. In fact any part you break.....replace with RPM if available.  All RPM parts have a lifetime warranty. You break one you get a new one. Period. I have done 60mph curb hits.....no issues.  ;D Well.....it had issues.....but not the arms or shock towers!  8)
