Hi All,

Just picked up my first Samurai after being a vintage Subaru guy for the last 10 years.  Hoping to drop a VW 1.6 TD in it and go with a light 4x4 build (still want to DD it).  I live in the Bay Area.  Anyone else around these parts?

Because pictures speak louder than words
My last two projects:

1983 Subaru GL Wagon 4wd

Got it bone stock, ended with a weber, 29 " swampers, lincoln locker, 4 " lift, custom steel bumpers all around, etc. etc.

1982 Subaru Brat

Restored to stock with almost all OEM options (a-bar, jump seats, third headlight, etc.)

And my new toy:
1986 1.3 Sammy on its way home:

Hi folks, I'm Mark
new to the forums and kinda new to the 4X4 world.  I found the forum back in May, but have been pretty busy.

I bought a '92 Geo Tracker (2dr, 5spd, soft top) back in November 2007 and spent a little money to get it functioning pretty good.  I also have a an '88 Suzuki Sami, which is in bad shape, but have some plans for it.
I'm a street truck guy, I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota with a little bit of work done to it, but I have been looking for a small 4X4 for a while and finally got my hands on one.

Looks like a busy site and lots of information.  I planning to get some mods for the Tracker on the go very soon.

Heres a few pics ....

and my '02 Dakota

Thanks

hi i'm eric. i'm 24. i live in fountain inn, sc, about 15 miles south down 385 from greenville sc.  i'm a chevy guy, i've had my 72 k5 for 3 years, kinda getting tired of the size of it, and at the same time i found an 88 conv for sale everything but engine, hood, front grill, and interior, and also found an 88 tintop, body and frame. so i'm gonna try to combine it all and make a 383 sbc, 700r4, np205 powered stretch sami with 4.88 10 bolt welded in front, and 4.88 12 bolt with detroit in rear. that's the plans who know what its going to end up like.

Wille from North Alabama.  Bought my first sami from a member here a couple of weeks ago (He's a standup guy and gave me an awesome deal --many thanks Buckshot!).  Bought my second sami this past week for the engine and today I finished up the swap.

I'm feeling pretty good about everything and looking forward to a backwoods fishing expedition!

I've read a lot of posts from the members here and really appreciate the wonderful atmosphere and tone that you all have achieved.

Thanks for the site!

Hey everybody, my name is Kenny Reed. New to the Zuke nation but have done my fair share of muddin'. I'm still running a mainly stock Sammy with some itty bitty 205s and a My-Side2. Here in West Virginia most places are a bit too hardcore for my Sammy the way it is. Good news is my uncle is an awesome fabricator and has a nice garage with a lift. So hopefully I can sneak away from the family long enough to get my ride build it the way I want it.

'Sup dudes,

I'm Dwayne, I'm a gunsmith, and I live in the Northeast. Only recently have I gotten into "gearhead" stuff, after realizing it's only daunting if you let it scare you.  I've always loved the way Samurai's looked, I just bought a rusted out 88  that is my current project.    I hope to learn things from you guys, and maybe teach some stuff in return.

My name is Rob and just purchased my first sammy! I know little about them but am doing my research since mine needs lots of TLC. I am a husand of almost ten years and a father of three. My main passion is Falconry. I have had two redtail hawks and am on my second falcon. The current bird is named Inca and is a imprint female prairie falcon.
