ok so iam finally going to post a build thread. Here is what I plan on doing this winter. frist off iam going to make it street legal agian so i can drive it more at the ZU and around home. So i have to get a rear bumper and a tag and put it on my insurance agian plus wire up the lights agian. then iam Installing the yj kit, hopefully move my front and rear axle atleast 1", extended brake lines, install the complete sky shock kit. put in some racing seats and 4 pt harnesses and hopefully a locker in the rear( might just weld it) if i weld it i have to buy a better welder for that the welder i have now is good for the sheet metal but thats it. then ill do the sky stage 1 steering. and iam going to get a bigger steering wheel. for those that didnt see it at the Zu i have one of those lil bitty steering wheels that came with it when i bought it. its a pain to turn. And iam going to get a real camera to post good clear pics. thats it for now

oh yea heres the kicker about doing this. since i live in charlotte( downtown) my samurai stays at afreinds house an hour away so i only really get to work on it on the weekends. and once i get the tag and insurance it will still stay there becuse i dont have room for it here. so hopefully i can get all this done in just a couple months depending on how the weather is and if nothing comes up.

Power steering if you dont have it already.

Other than that, it sounds like a good plan, easy to do and works very well.

You probally already know this about welding the rear, but If I were you, unless you're only driving it rarely on the road, I wouldn't weld the rear, or spool it, get a limited slip or a ARB, with it welded you're gonna be eating tires like crazy on the pavement. I just spooled my rear, and I can't beileve you guys do that if you're acutally going to drive it on the road.  You loose about $5 in tread when you turn a corner. lol

I welded my rear. I just air up my tires to 40 psi on the road. It rides a little rough, but doesn't wear the tires at all
