Jon that rig is really coming along nicely.

Weed just tell the nay sayers that you want to be able to see your stinger when you are night riding.

I did a little work today.... before work.  :(
Doesn't help that the sun is shining and I worked with the garage doors open.... why can't it be this nice on my days off?  ::)
Anyhow,
I bent a new stinger, just a little shorter. I think it's just right.

Last pic is a view from the driver's seat... very poor quality due to dust and sun, but you get the idea....  ;D

Well, I made a little progress... Very little, but progress nevertheless.....
I pulled the front clip and finished welding/ bracing my "winch pocket". Then Panzer came over and helped me sand it all down and paint it. Then my lovely wife helped me put the clip back on. Thanks Steph and Tony!

Here is a pic of my winch plate, I have no idea what it fits (jeep maybe) or what brand it is, but it is PERFECT for this.... I had to do a little trimming so it would sit back farther, but it's gonna work GREAT!

I have all weekend off, so I hope to make some SERIOUS progress.... we'll see.  ;D

LOTS O' PROGRESS!!!  ;D

My T-case frame brackets are DONE!  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

I started off by swapping the tracker slipyoke onto a stock samurai intermediate shaft..

Then I removed the crossmember that was exactly where the t-case needed to be.... I will be building a new one, farther back.

I then got out my trusty samurai jack collection and set the t-case exactly where it needed to be... this took a couple hours, as I wanted it to be perfectly centered and square with the frame..... after I was 99.99% sure it was where I wanted it to be, I tacked on some 3/8 bar in various places (tying it to the frame so it would not move) then I took out the jacks and made my frame mounts.... I wanted them to be somewhat easy to remove, so I made the passenger's side mosty bolt on, and welded the ends.... Now, if I ever decide to switch to a toyota case or a dana 300, It will be MUCH easier to remove the mounts.... Also, the bolts (sleeved) tie the mount to both sides of the framerail...

I plated the frame, where the mounts attached, with 1/8" plate and added some sleeves, for the bolts to pass through, to the passenger's side...

I wanted the driver's side arm to be tied in just as well as the passenger's side, so I made it go all the way around the frame and tie back into itself.... I've heard it's not too hard to rip them out of the frame, so I went OVERKILL....
