Just drill a hole in the upper gusset, wherever you want the shock to mount... Add a spacer if necessary.  ;D

Made a little progress tonight...
Finished all the BS welding on the framerails and cleaned them up with a flap disc.... Then added some primer.
Also added some plug welds in the bottom side of the spring hangers into the frame for a little reassurance....
( I have OCD  ;D )

Then, I went to work removing those old bushings from the springs.... Not my most favorite thing to do, but it gets easier every time I do it...
I also drilled the centerbolt hole to 3/8 so I could use a 3/8 bolt with the correct size head for my spring perches...
I was worried about this, as I have heard that it is a PAIN to drill springs.... BUT it went very well, thanks to a new cobalt bit and some cutting oil...  ;D
