Well, I got the front axle in today. I had to make a crossmember for the front, to drop the shackle hangers down.
Came out pretty good.
It seems a little tall, but I think it will settle 2 or 3 inches, with the engine/trans back in.
It squats about an inch with my weight on it. (195lbs.)
Also, for a height reference, I'm 6'1".
Next, the rear axle. Stay tuned....  ;D

Hey bud, that look means some work got done today!! I know how ya feel (Accomplishment!) came in looking like that the last month :P my garage cloths are starting to look like my rag box. looking good Jon keep it up!! I like Joe's idea also on supporting the backside of your shackle mounts. I would brace em up for a forward folding back type hit,
Saw a little four door tracker on the road tonight told the wife that is what Jon is building on 36"s she said SWEET!! ;D

Joe, that is EXACTLY what I had in mind for the bracing the front crossmember. It's just tacked, for now. I couldn't go anymore....... AND it will be about 2"-3" lower WITH THE ENGINE/TRANNY and 100lbs OF BUMPER AND WINCH ON THE FRONT.
Brady, I wanted to keep the springs as level as I could. I don't want the front of the spring much higher than the rear, or I think it would handle funny on the road.
Steve, it's gonna have 37's now. SWEET!

Well, I put the engine/trans back in. It settled 2".
I mounted the "bald" IROKs on some 15x8 wheels (too narrow, they're humped WAY up in the middle. They will be on 15x10's so that will bring it down about another inch.)

And with me standing on the front (think winch, bumper, radiator, hood, etc.) it drops it down another inch.

So, a grand total of 3"-4" lower than the first picture.
It's gonna sit PERFECT!  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

As Hannibal Smith says, "I love it when a plan comes together."
 ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
