got a serious case of death wobble this past weekend.   i had the tierod length set to 46" per TRail Tough's instructions. the nuts had worked loose, and the length had worked down to about 45 1/2"...

i readjusted to 46" and took to the alignment shop today. they aligned it, and i remeasured the tie rod length, and it is now set at 45 7/8"... death wobble is gone.

also, some misc notes from other posts...  thanks surly!

Hey Joe, are you having trouble getting a good pedal with the discs?
yeah. and i dont want to get into swapping MCs in my tracker. if i had a sami, i would do the subaru, but i dont know what works with trackers, and dont really want to mess with it on a DD...

death wobble returned last night. it turned out to be the left front wheel bearing had settled and worked loose. i retightened it to spec, and took it for a spin. no more wobble... for the moment. ;D

had a bracket cut tonight that will move my spare tire up about 3 inches. this will also convert the 5 on 5.5 lug pattern to 6 on 5.5 lug pattern. your thoughts?

That might be a good thing because an oversized tire can rip the tire carrier off the back door...  And your truck is too clean for that.

i go to the fab shop tonight for us to start making measurements on the production rear bumper and swing out tire carrier. [jump] [jump]

mine will be 1/8" plate, which is what Warn uses for their bumpers. i dont want the extra weight of the 3/16, but we will offer it with 3/16"... this is gonna be GREAT!

this swap doesnt work, btw... gas doors are different size and bolt pattern...
