My heart just sank.
Art had it right.
God, Family, Country.
Not much more to be said.
Just prayers for his family.

one of the best quotes, from a military site.....

"Stand down, MSG Arthur L. Lilley, your mission is now complete, may you rest in eternal peace."

The Patriot Guard has made this a confirmed mission. They stand ready and plan to be there to honor Art.

That is good news. I was a little worried about the wackos that like to disrupt soldiers funerals.

I also did not know Art personally and have never even ridden in a Zuk, but I feel he should have been one of my own people. I will be forever in his debt for his sacrifice to me and our country. I heard about him from my son-in-law, Chris, who is Art's friend and a fellow Zuk owner and Zuharrie participant. God bless him and all his family. He will be loved and remembered by many more people than he ever met. If you can handle it, click the link below for my own tribute to Art. I believe he'd be honored.

Thank you, Art, for your love of mankind and your tremendous sacrifice to us all. You are missed and loved.

While I never met, spoke to, or even PM'd Art, I feel as if I lost a true friend.  I have read so many of his posts here and on other boards over the years.  He has been a great help to me on the slow buildup of my Zuk, and he didn't even know it.  Thanks Art for your help, and for protecting our freedom.  Thanks to Art's family for their ultimate sacrifice.  Art was a great man!  RIP Art.  :\\'(

It is sad to hear that Art isn't with us here on earth.  My hope is that he had put his trust in Jesus as his Savior.  If he had, I can only grieve for his family to have to go through the loss, but I would know Art is in a MUCH better place.  If not, then I am very sad for him and his family.

Losses like this are a wake-up call for those who don't know God, or have rejected God in their life.  If you're still alive, it's because of God's grace, because we all deserve death for the sins we've committed against God and each other.  We all make our choices in life.  God gave us a way out--Jesus Christ.  A payment for our sins.  We can't get to heaven on our own, we need Jesus.  There is a lot of love on this board for Art.  Everyone is grieved and sad.  Everyone should know that there is a greater love, the love that God showed us when Jesus went to the cross for us.  I hope and pray that each of us would reflect on our own individual lives through this loss.  The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.  That is Christ.  Whenever I hear of a soldier sacrificing, even to the point of death, as Art has, I always think back to what Jesus did for me.  He died for me, and he died for you.  Please consider what I have to say and take it to heart.  Please seek the truth--it is found in the Holy Bible, and in Jesus Christ.

God Bless America.
God Bless Zuwharrie.

I never met Art, but his contributions to me and others leave me with no doubt that we all just lost a very good man. I've personally benefited not only from his knowledge on zuks, but from his selfless contributions to a war that is being waged by Canadians and Americans not for themselves, but to improve the world around them. That ideology was what Art Lilley was all about.

Rest In Peace.  :\\'(

I agree with this. I never told Art how helpful he was to me, as a 19 year old who had no idea what he was getting himself into when he bought a zuk. Reading his posts helped me get a much better understanding of wheeling and working on zuks, and his service to the country and incredibly evident integrity give me something to look up to.

Thank you Art for doing what injury prevented me from doing. I appreciate what you have done. I only knew you through your posts yet I feel that i have lost a close friend. I feel for your family and I know that the members here will help to take care of them. I gave extra lovings to my family tonight. More than the fact that you will be missed you will be remembered.
May God be with your family.
