Well where to begin. The news has hit hard and I am truly at a loss. ;Art Lilley you were a True friend, you put the country you loved before everything. The Faithfull commitment to God, family, your country and your friends. You will forever be in the heart of myself and my family. My family's prayers are sent to your family in this time of mourning.

For those that never meet Art, I would like to tell you he was a man of integrity truly the definition of a man with a blessed soul, and a passion for life. While in his presence he had the ability to leave you feeling fullfilled. I myself have been TRUELY BLESSED to have KNOWN HIM..

YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED MAN.

YOUR FRIEND SCOTT YACH

When Connie called me and told me this news my heart sank. It is weird because I have never even met the man in person (and it really hurts that I never will) But it feels like I lost a family member and in reality I did, we all did ! My heart and prayers go out to his entire family.

I never met Art and was hoping to this fall at the zu. When I found out that we would both be in Afganistan t the same time I thought I might actually get to meet him. To me he is and always be the peak of the suzuki samurai world and will always strive to have my rig as good as his.

when I really badly wanted to be part of the zucrew he paid for it till I was able to send the cash and as a thank you I sent him that large coffee mug that you guys presented to him at the zu.

I will definitly wear the I know Art lilley sticker with extreme pride. And from one soldier to another You will be missed

Just looking through my PMs, and stumbled upon one this one that Art sent to me...

Dan, we may not share the same blood but you are still my brother. I am always willing to listen, and on rare occasion, share useful advice. I'm here when you need me.

He was such a good guy... I can't believe he is gone  :\\'( :\\'( :\\'(

"This is the best site on earth and I love this site so much it just go to show that even when the zuwharrians are at the 4 corners of the earth we can all come together and grieve for one of our own"

Cheryl & Steve

I don't know what to say because this is hard, knowing that my husband is still over there in harms way.  But my heart and prayers go out to you Chris and your family. Thank you Art for all the kind words you have ever given me in preparing for the tour.
Even tho I have never met him , I hold him high in my heart as a true friend. Someone who was always there when I needed someone to talk to.  You will be missed greatly ART.

My deepest thoughts, prayers and sympathy go out to the Lilley family and anyone else who feels a hole in their heart right now. I am just so lost right now that it's hard getting the words to come into my fingers.

We have lost a truley wonderful person on this day, not only on the board, but in life. Art was one of the first people on this board that I became friends with, and I have always considered him as such. I have had the great oportunity to meet him and the awesome chance to wheel with him, and I can say that I will miss him very much. He was without a doubt, one of the greatest men that I know and hold in highest regard with the likes of my Grandfather.

Art, I know that you are in Heaven with our father buddy, and for that I am glad. Rest in peace soldier, you will be greatly missed.
