Ill be camping on the Tennessee side somewhere. I just bought a 88 Chevy Step Van (Bread Truck) Hopefully I will have a couple of fold down beds and a shower of some sort this year. Just to clarify.....The "Tennessee Side" has 2 ways to camp. Keep in mind that this side is right on the TN/NC line. That being said camping on this side BUT in NC is all free and now limited by new rules this year also very primitive. Camping on this side in TN are pay sites, up kept very well close to bathrooms, fire pits, picnic tables and very level for tents. Either way only a few minutes from the pay booth at trail 6. I am a local to Tellico and have been going there for apx 20 years so if anyone has any ?'s please feel free to contact me 865.257.5797 Does anyone know if Jed is coming this year?

We've got 4 rigs that I'm completely sure of.  I'm hoping that at least 3 others show up.  Anybody that is up there the 9th and 10th is welcome to ride with us.

I think we are tentatively planning to arrive in Murphy late on the 8th and crash in town, so we can ride Friday.  We are leaving Monday, so we'll be riding all day Sunday as well.

Must be nice :(

At least I'll have a better tow rig this time. Flat towing with a Mazda B2600 last time was a little nerve racking :o

Chevy 2500 pickup this time...set the cruise and go ;D

I'm curious how many rigs will be there. Should we start a list of who's going?
What other info should we include on the list?
Where we are camping/renting, which days we'll be wheeling, tire size, lockers...?

Example....

Jbird (Jay) - Tipton Creek Cabin(trail 1) - Thur, Fri, Sat - 33's - Locked F&R

What do you think?

I should be there Fri, Sat, & Sun with at least 2 other Zuks. With all of us on 33's geared and locked. I'll be stayin' at my cabin in Tipton Creek. You other boys and girls that are stayin' in Tipton Creek should come down and have a Frosty beverage. My place is the round house there on the left if your going up the hill.

CAMPING  UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

USFS has stopped ALL camping along trails 1 & 5. Which means ONLY the pay areas will be open to camping, unless you want to camp "in back country"

Pay areas closest to the pay booth are 20 per day but they are BIG sites most of which will hold 4 truck/trailers. Just remember to park the Zuks on the trailer. They WILL write tickets for parking in the street. Pay areas are cheaper the further you go away from the Tellico pay booth. I suspect the reason for this is those of us who arent "street legal" will have to pay extra to prevent getting a ticket for no Tag/Insurance. I believe there are 4 or 5 sites before you go into the "No OHV Beyond This Point" sign. I will be there early to get a spot but those of you who are "street legal" PLEASE save the closest spots for those who are not. There are PLENTY of camp sites outside the "No OHV Beyond This Point" within 1/2 mile.

IF ANYONE HAS QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO CALL ME. I am local to Tellico
