Hydro assist carnige ???  Would it have happened non Hydro?

I am ready and I've got 3 or 4 locally who are chomping at the bit to go.

1 Yota  (Solid axle flat bed)
1 FJ-40 Crawler
1- Sammy - soon to be buggy
1 Sammy getting tubed in Jan
1 more sammy that might be in.

I'm selling a sammy to build a better tow rig.
Now it is just a question of how to earn enough $$$ to pay for the trip.
I'll start saving lunch money now

I want to make plans to go on 3-4 trail rides in '07.

I'm pretty sure the Tellico June Zuk Jam will make my list.

Had a blast last time!

If I go, I will want to stay in a cabin again. That was great!

Im still trying to finish my rig with the Toyota axle swap after breaking L/F & L/R axles on Lower 2 last time. Still have to do steering, lockers, brakelines and driveshafts. Almost everything but they are mounted under it atleast. But plan to be done before winter is over.

6/16-6/17 will work. [approve]  The weekend before will also work. I will probably camp this time over on the Tennessee side. I am not going to ever run trail 1 ever again with my tow rig.  ::)

LOL! I did the same thing. I missed the turn into the rental house and ran Trail 1 with a trailer. I only have 2wd ::) We made it down and back up but it wasn't fun in the dark :o

Would the Tennessee side or NC side be better for everyone? Crawfords Campground  is always a favorite spot on the NC side OR we could stay at the NFS campgrounds on the Tennessee side. I will not drive my tow rig down trail 1 unless its to a cabin. I really want to camp this time.  ;D

For those that have never been, Crawfords is a nice 4x4 oriented camp. the downfall is it is a long haul to get to the trails. I would prefer staying on the TN side as you are right at the trail head and can sleep in while all the crawford gang is still driving in to meet you. Curtis was camped on the river last year and it was a really sweet spot. If I ever make it back I will either camp or stay in the same house I rented last time as it is inside the trail system ;D

I just voted for the 6/9-6/10  :)  I would like to stay in the cabin we stayed in last year. But I would be interested in camping, if we can get a good group together on the Tellico side close to the trails.
I just don't want to ride a long way back to camp after wheeling all day  ::)

Does anyone know if you can make reservations at the campground located on the Tennessee side. I think the name is State Line Campground but I can't find a link to make reservations at.

I was hoping more people would pick the 6/9 - 6/10 weekend.

I won't be able to go if it's the following weekend :\\'(

I think we need to lock in a date soon. I would like to stay in a cabin and will need to reserve one soon.

I will really try to make it this year, even if I have to schedule a day of vacation. [thumbsup]  Anyone coming in from the Georgia side, we usually stay at Hanging Dog campground (USFS, I think). It's a beautiful place- on the lake, has restrooms w/ toilets and sinks (hot water) but no showers (at least not the last time we were there  :P  ).

I am itching to go too. Ill be down early and leave late, same as last year. I will be camping on the "Tennessee Side", 2 ways to camp 1st is to actually go to Tennessee 200 yds from pay booth at trail 1 and 6. There are pay camping sites with nice flat lots and tables. The 2nd way is to go to the "Tennessee Side" but stay in NC and find a spot to park and set up camp. There are several nice places they just arent close to a bathroom. These are free. Hope to see everyone I met there last year, I REALLY had a great time.

Curtis, Is there a way to reserve a site on the Tennessee side with water and electric?  I am gonna camp in my truck camper.

Rockjunkie4x4.com (Jed) has picked the first weekend for this trip according to this thread. A few of those guys post here also.
