Thanks. Stacks would go will with the flatbed. I wish there was a diesel small truck option in the US. I am hoping to take it on a test drive soon, worried about power, how did you like your 2.2?

Thanks Jim. Never a fan of flatbeds but I didn't want to put the rusty bondo bed back on. This bed has to weigh 600 lbs, its solid.

Wow 600lbs is a heavy bed. I am a big fan of the flat bed. If I ever back half #2 that is my plan. Jim

its all 2" receiver tubing and the deck is 3/16". I looked at a few and they were not built well and did not look that great. This one looks alright. The weight worked out good, I put 1 ton springs on it so the back sat a little high, now its level again

I loved the 2.2 diesel. Alot of people said it doesnt have enough power but really its all in how you drive, it isnt a fast revving motor but has alot more "pull" to it if you know what I mean. I had the fuel screw adjusted a bit for more fuel, it was faster then the factory 22re, got better fuel economy (40mpg once) and if you loaded bed with weight or pulled car trailer it didnt matter because it had the low rpm torque to get it moving.

drove it around the block a few times. Got it up to 35 mph easily, thats not fast but it was only one block. Power was noticeably better then the automatic was. There is turbo lag but as it starts spooling up it starts pulling strong, only got up to 7-8psi before running out of street. I dont know how cruising power will be but up to 35 mph its at least as quick as the 22R was. I have to finish wiring the lights before I can take it on a real test drive. I will be moving it to another location 25 miles away so that should give me a good feel for it.

if it doesnt have enough power at first you can always play with turbo, fuel adjustment, injectors etc to get a bit more from it
