That's right, the safe place on the net for your kids to chat has arrived! durnzuki and warpig will be the moderators along with other members of the staff helping out. Parents will be allowed to read but not post in this section. Any parental post will be deleted, no questions asked. If you, as a parent, have issue with something in the Zu Kids Chat area please contact the moderators or the Zuwharrie staff and we'll take care of it. We want this to be a place just for the kids! When you send me a request to add your Zu kid I'll also add the parent to a special group for reading purposes.
To get access you need two things:
1. a username for your Zu Kid. once you have set it up go into the profile and on the left click "group memberships" then request access to the "Zu Kids" group.
2. you as the parent need to PM me and I'll get the new Zu Kid access to the site. This is the best way we can come up with to protect our kids.
Most importantly, let them have fun, the staff and mods will watch and make sure things stay acceptable and kid safe!
Thanks and enjoy,

I just want to say a BIG thanks to Roy, Jeff, and Caleb for taking this on. I know that there are others who have been very instrumental is making this happen, but these guys are taking a big responsibility and should be commended.

Best of luck you guys, I'm here to help if there is anything that I can do.

I do too, and he's been in a good bit of trouble since the event over it...
Plus he's stuck riding with mom or dad from now on, since his behavior was like it was.

He wasn't that bad.  He was just being a boy and climbing some trees.  He was being the life of the party,  I wonder who he reminds me of ???

Just a question but is there any protection from non Zu Kids PMing them? Just something you might not have considered. Last thing you need to someone PMing your kids after going thru all this to protect them.

You're welcome, there's a lot of sick people in the world. I would also suggest to parents to not use your childs birth year. It shows their age in their profile, just one more tip off for sickos. The forum might not be in search engines but the profiles still are.

Is it alright if we ask them to put their parents online name in their profile somewhere, or in their signature, so we can Identify them?
