That's not the case however; every soldier doesn't understand all of the regulations and policies on relasing information to the public.  That is why there are soldiers who specialize in OPSEC and PA and why requests to release photos and information goes through these sections.

I'm not savvy to Canada's military regulations on this as I work for the US Army.  Which is why I asked; it's not an insult to GC.  I'm sure he understands that.   ;)

It was a picture for Gods sake, not a manual on how to operate or heistl the dang thing. leave your work at work and enjoy the board.

With the world it is today, the media is impedded with the military and the internet is rampant with stuff. Heck does the taliban have an opsec when it comes to there video's?

Anyways I agree with what he said and there is a fine line and I'm careful and think about the military stuff I post. But it's also "advertising" for new recruits ;D

There is a guy in the military who is being charged with posting video's and pics from his experiance in Afgan on the internet. I guess he video taped a battle and showed an injured soldier's nametag.

But the world has changed and everyone know's or can access everything ;D

Steve

P.S The mast survilance system we use has the talibanies confused cause they don't know what it is, they call it a tree with out branches....lol
