Poking around and found something

Okay so the other day i was doing some poking around  when i was doin my thumb thorttle... And down by the knee bar i found a tiny switch with 3 wires running to it.. and it looks factory... It was attached to a screw on the knee bar... does anyone know what this is or if its even factory

I think it's the dummy check engine light reset button.

Yeah, you've got a check engine light. If you look through the FSM, you can actually use it for some troubleshooting. The switch is the reset.

Man thats pretty cool... wish i had one on my ranger.... o wait its called removing the battery

Well, yours may not be a "check engine" light...it may be a.......ahhh I can't remember what it says now......it's not "check engine" though....
