I didn't want to hijack Scott's post about Project 2.2 Diesel so I'll post some pics here. We are in stalling a Nissan SD22 in my Zuk with the Nissan trans, VW radiator & recovery tank. I think I understand the VW cooling system now. I had it running yesterday & it ran good after about 5 min of smoking getting warmed up. I think the injectors need work.
Here are some pics.

Thanks for the compliments.
Va88zuk, they were in 80-85 720 2wd pickup here in the states. It fit in there pretty good with the stock engine frame mounts but they sat up to high.
Samerrant, I read somewhere that the hp was 66 & torque was around 104. Nisasn trans with a 4x4 tailshaft & housing to reduce overall length & Zuk t-case about 6" back. Haven't done that yet but, that's all we are hoping to move it back.

That looks very clean.  Did you have to ax the front of the clip like that?  I like the auto option too.  If you don't mind, I'd like some tranny/t-case shots when you get there.

Tusker I will get pics for you. The reason we did that was so we didn't have to lift the engine & trans so high.

Oh, I see.  Sorry about that.  I thought you cut it instead of removing it :P

Well, they were cut off cause the screws wouldn't come out. I didn't want to ruin any more paint the I had to.
