lol...thats kinda funny you say that rawlings. new dodge: 6 cylinder 610 ft.lbs of torque/ new ford V8  ::) 570 ft.lbs of torque. you do the math  ;D not sure on the HP numbers, but when your pullin somethin, HP doesnt do much! torque gets the load movin, and keeps you low in the RPM's.

Give me a 7.3 and a Torque Shift and that would be the perfect Ford truck. I sould be somewhere near 650-700 lbs in torque.  ;D

I don't want the auto after all the stories I hear about torque converters failing.

That is on the older trucks with 4R100s. The Torque Shift is a 5R110 and has not had any converter problems. I replaced my 4R100 converter with an updated one and have yet to have any problems since.

Digital gauges suck. Numbers change to fast to be sure of where they are. Sweep gauges rule.

And FWIW, I'll put my 6.0 Powerstroke 6 speed manual up against anything here. ;D

Not if you get nice ones.  I've got a complete digital dash in my CJ, and I don't have a problem with them.

I would either take a Dodge or a Chevy no fords for me, I like the Allison transmission and the duramax is still a good motor. But I think the cummins is better, now take a 6 cylinder cummins and put the chevy allison tranny behind and you got a nice combo.

Sell the Dash on e-bay. I am sure that the mall cruising Jeep crown will pay upi top dollar for it and you could probably buy 2 lockers!

If the stainless dash is anything like my stainless wiper motor cover (on my cj ) it will do a great job of blinding you when the sun is in the right position .

He doesn't need a locker when the light off that stainless dash will blind everyone and they will never see him spiining 1 front and 1 rear tire  ;D

Oh and yes my truck has been towed by a duramax. Other than that they suck and the allisons suck even more. They won't pull a 32ft Donzi loaded down over 65 easily. You can push 70 out of them but they upshift and downshift constantly. The Ford however pulls it with no problems  ;D
