Just pulled my transmission and the input shaft has a worn out area where the pilot bearing wore into it.  Does anyone sell an input transmission shaft for the Samurai Trans?  At a reasonable price?

Common failure and not cheep. I think I paid $100ish for mine 2 yrs ago. Depending on where you are at some tranny shops get them cheep but there is a wait. I needed mine ASAP so I paid more. Petroworks in SoCal used to have access to them. Good people there too.

There is also the option of using a wider pilot bearing as explained here: http://bbs.zuwharrie.com/content/topic,52259.0.html

I haven't tried it yet but I do have the bearing laying on my desk. When I replace my clutch this winter I thought that I would use it since the truck has the 1.6L conversion adapter and this will move the outer edge of the pilot bearing out to offset the added adapter width.

That fix has been working fine for me.  I need to buy some more wide bearings, so I'll have them on hand if I ever need to do it again.
