I'm not a spider expert but this looks like some kind of tarantula to me.  It scared the crap out of my wife she hates spiders.  I have never seen one like it living around here.  I'm thinking about catching it.

I've told this before I'm sure, but a few years back we looked from the deck up north, and the yard and the gravel road was undulating ( I hope that's not a SEXUAL word ) cause I seem to remember seeing that word in a fe, BUT then I Digress.
  Anyhoo, the yard/road had a 5 ft. wide swath of migrating Tarantulas, at LEAST 100 ft. long. :o
I had the HeeBee JeeBees for a week. :-[

If Don were to chime in, he would tell you about the Tarantulas in OK. 8)
