i can't figure out how to turn off the e-mail notification, i don't see anything in my account or profile settings to do this, please help

Go to your profile and on the Left side under "modify profile".

Forum profile
look and layout
notifications
personal messaging
etc.
etc,

i looked in there already and did'nt see anything to turn off e-mail alerts, i have the first box unchecked and i'm still getting them
